This week my Word of the Week is: Done! #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

The word Done

I have had such a productive week and ticked a lot of my to do lists. I have several on the go at the moment. School things, house things, Christmas presents, other Christmas things and blog things.

We finally got some answers about all the assessments which have been done on Ellie over the last year or so. It's Social anxiety not Autism. It seems the right diagnosis. Now she can get more help at school where she needs it.

The Christmas decorations are up and while putting them up I moved the living room around and had a de-clutter which I have been meaning to do for ages. I am now sat with my back to the window which found strange to start with. I like having a nosy outside but the advantage of being here means I get the full heat of the radiator.

Our Christmas themed pjs

I had the last of the Christmas things which I ordered online delivered. The Christmas pj's came. Stu and Ellie will be matching and Becky & I will be. I can't wait to see us all in them. hehehe I even got Monkey a couple of outfits from The Card Factory. They were sold as bottle covers but are perfect Monkey clothes.

Becky filled in her application to college which was more straightforward than I thought it would be. She is planning to do an Adult Health And Social Care course. She needed a  reference and spoke to her health and social care teacher who will be happy to give her one. Phew!

My great Aunt is pretty much housebound at the moment due to ill health and is struggling to do her Christmas shopping so I have been helping her out a bit and getting my dad's presents as I will see him before Christmas and she won't & it means she doesn't have to post anything to him.

I went out shopping yesterday and got a lot of little things I needed. My dad's birthday cards, make up for me, gift bags, wrapping paper, Christmas cards and some more stocking fillers for the girls. Who'd have thought it was easy to spend nearly £50 in the Pound shop.

It has been a week of getting stuff done!

  2. It certainly sounds like you have had a busy and productive week and got plenty done. Having a good de-clutter is so satisfying - I've managed to find time to do some this week too and feel much better for it. Glad that you have now got a diagnosis for Ellie and good luck to Becky with her college application x #WotW
