Trying Adagio Teas....

I have a couple of cups of tea a day....Always from a tea bag and never loose tea until now. I was recently sent a selection of teas to try from Adagio Teas....

At Adagio Teas they offer fresh, delicious loose teas sourced directly from the artisan farmers who tender them. They have such a huge range to choose from which are brimming with nutrients with no added sugar and all-natural flavours. They are also vegan and gluten free. Any flavours are from essential oils and the traditional teas are pure leaves.

I have never made or drank loose leaf tea so all of this was new to me....The samplers looked a good place to start.

Whether you're new to tea or have been drinking tea for years sampler sets are perfect for expanding your knowledge and stepping outside of your comfort zone. The themed taster packs now come in pretty boxes and make for ideal gifts....

Each box costs between 6 & 8 pounds depending on which you choose and contains 4 different flavours of teas. You get around 10 cups of each flavour which is 40 cups per box....The bags are resealable which is very handy.

Some of the flavours include:

Mango Green - Vegetal goodness of China green tea and floral flavour of ripe mango. Juicy, creamy finish, candy sweet.
White Blueberry - Juicy blueberry flavour and white tea from Fujian, China. Very fragrant, soft mouthfeel, refreshing finish.
Coconut - Creamy texture of fresh coconut flavour with the balanced brightness of Ceylon. Perfectly sweet and very well-blended.
Tiger Eye - Our tiger eye blend will tickle your palate with rich notes of chocolate and caramel. Enjoy it in lieu of or with your favourite indulgence.
Blackberry - Ceylon black tea infused with sweetly tart berries. Floral-fruity and bakey aroma, like fresh berry scones.
Berry Blast - A delicious blend of natural fruits and spices. Bold and slightly tart flavour, with a juicy clean finish.
Earl Grey Moonlight - The comforting flavours of vanilla and cream combine to soften the citrus notes of traditional Earl Grey.

I was sent quite a few accessories to start me off on my loose tea drinking journey....

IngenuiTEA XL teapot, also called iced ingenuiTEA, is the most convenient device for brewing loose leaf tea, whether hot or iced. Add leaves, pour hot water and let them steep. When ready, simply place it atop your cup. This will cause a valve at the bottom to release: crystal-clear tea flows down, while the mesh filter retains all the tea leaves. The tea brewer is also super easy to clean - just rinse it out with water or pop it into the dishwasher. You will wonder how you got along without one. The larger version of the ingenuiTEA teapot is also BPA-free and fits all cups up to 11.5cm in diameter.

This is so fancy....It seems larger than a normal tea cup and is perfect for a delicious cup of tea.

IngenuiTEA teapot is the most convenient device for brewing loose leaf tea - we guarantee it. Dishwasher safe. Capacity: 470ml.

An ideal 'have tea anywhere' set that combines a glass tea mug with a removable stainless steel infuser. In addition to being convenient, it is also loads of fun: watch the leaves dance as they infuse a perfect cup of tea. When done, remove the infuser (the cover doubles as a coaster) and have a perfect cup of tea wherever, and whenever, the mood strikes. Perfect for home or office use. Dishwasher safe. Capacity: 400ml. Diameter: 8.5cm.

These two are by far my favourite tea drinking accessories to use....They are just the right size and the glass mug is so quick and easy to use. I thought using loose tea was such a faff but these have proved me wrong...

Over the last couple of weeks I have been working my way through all of these teas. There is some I have loved and some I have not been so keen on but it's all down to my personal taste...For example I thought I would love the chocolate chip flavour but I wasn't keen and I thought I would hate the Citron green which is Chinese green tea with the delicate flavours of lemon and lime but it really surprised me....It was so good.

I still have a few left to try but I can highly recommend Adagio Teas....There is something for all tastes and moods.

Do you drink loose tea? What is your favourite flavour?

I was sent all these products in exchange for this blog post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  9. I drink a good few cups of tea a day (a few too many some would say - ha!), and I've recently gotten into other teas than black, so I love the idea of a sampler set. Thanks for sharing #MMBC
