What I want to watch on TV at Christmas.

I love the TV at Christmas...All the channels seem to put their best shows on and this year here are a few shows I am very excited about.....

We're Going On A Bear Hunt
Christmas Eve at 7.30pm, Channel 4

A Christmas treat from the makers of The Snowman, featuring the voices of Olivia Colman, Pam Ferris and Mark Williams. Based on the hit bedtime book the one-off half-hour special follows a family who go in search of a bear, but find a surprise in a cave on the other side of a dark forest.

My girls both loved this story when they were little and we are so excited about this.....When we saw the advert on TV I think we all screamed. One of my first videos on You Tube was Ellie reading the story....hehehe

Doctor Who
Christmas day at 5.45pm. BBC1.

The Doctor and his Tardis are back! In this one-off the Doctor teams up with an investigative journalist and a comic-book superhero to save New York from a deadly alien threat. It will be the first episode we will get to see the new Doctor's new companion Pearl Mackie who will play Bill.

The Great Christmas Bake Off
Christmas Day at 4.45pm and Boxing Day at 7pm on BBC1

It’s the end of an era it is the last time ‘Bake Off’ will air on the BBC! The two 2016 Bake-Off specials bring back memorable contestants from series past to battle it out while baking an array of festive treats.

Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes
Boxing Day at 6.30pm and Tuesday 27 December at 6.30pm on BBC1

Dahl's wickedly witty fairy tales have been turned into a two-part animation featuring the voices of David Walliams, Dominic West and Tamsin Greig. The two half-hour films weave together Dahl's retellings of Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella.

Boxing day at 10pm on BBC1

The Brockmans are back after nearly three years, and while the kids have grown up it’s clear to see nothing has changed in their chaotic household. In this 40-minute special, it's Boxing Day and the family has to carry out a special mission for Grandad. They encounter car problems, child problems, parent problems, emotional problems and, errrm, World War Two.

We love Outnumbered and the youngest boy reminds me so much of my girl Ellie....A little devil. hehehe

Mrs Brown’s Boys
Christmas day at 10.30pm on BBC1

Brendan O’Carroll’s returns with two episodes over Christmas. Agnes and her family never seem to have a quiet festive season and this year is no different, as Grandad’s health becomes a concern for everyone. Meanwhile, Agnes steps in to help grandson Bono with school bullies but ends up making things far, far worse.

Becky has got into Mrs Browns Boys over the last year and she can't wait for the Christmas specials....

Of course there is all the soaps to watch, Top of the pops on Christmas day and of course The Snowman. I've also just noticed on Christmas day Frozen is on BBC and The Lion King is on ITV.....Both starting at 3.10pm! Eek! Which one do we watch? We love them both.....

What are you looking forward to watching over Christmas?

  1. I really want to with the bear hunt with the kids but mine will be in bed when it is on, I wish it was on sooner. My other half will be watching dr who too xx

  2. We'll be watching everything you're watching! I set everything to record last week when the double issue TV guide came out :D

  3. I really want to watch Dr Who! I actually need to catch up with the last season so I should probably do that. Saw it on netflix the other day :)

I don't like Mrs Browns boys though!
