Fussy Eaters... #wickedwednesdays

Once upon a time my girls would eat everything I gave them now they are turning into such fussy eaters! One day liking something the other day refusing to eat it....

As usual Becky text me on her way home from school asking what we were having for tea.....We were having Chinese pork! This is our discussion....

She went on to say she doesn't like any other pork apart from ham....hahaha I said so that's bacon sandwiches, sausages, pork kebabs which she loves and pork pies off the menu for her.....hehehe She soon changed her mind, ate it all up and enjoyed it...lol

This week Ellie has decided again that she doesn't like chips but will eat fries, wedges and potato waffles which I think are just about the same thing.....lol Mushrooms on pizza are horrible but mushrooms in everything else is fine....Grated cheese bad but cubes of cheese are fine....Jacket potatoes, yes....Mashed potato, no!

Give me strength....I thought kids became less fussy as they got older....lol

  1. My husband is 33 and will eat all kinds of potato except mash! Though luckily he's mature enough to realise that it won't kill him to eat it once in a while. At least as long as it's on a cottage pie. And covered in cheese. And a very very thin layer.

Monkey isn't so bad at the moment but I suspect that may change in time, he even loves peas, I used to loathe them :-0 x

  6. Hi Kim, don't you just love'em, the little sweeties? My daughter kept telling me she didn't like mushrooms I tested her by hiding some under the cheese of a pizza and give her credit, there was a definite gagging reaction.

Chinese pork sounds nice and would go down well in this house. Especially if I didn't have to cook it!

Ahh! At least your girl really didn't like mushrooms. If I hide things in food they eat it.

  7. I love the way changing the name of something can make it more palatable to picky kids. My son wouldn't touch chicken, until I bent the truth and said it was actually turkey!
