I know what you mean about them wanting to be independent & wanting to walk to school but they are still young & don't always know how to deal with difficult situations, although it sounds like this bullying situation was just awful for anyone to deal with. To be ...I'm so glad you were there, poor Ellie. To be honest I don't agree with children walking to and from school alone when they are in Primary. I didn't walk to school by myself until I was in high school and that is what I intend to happen with my little girl. I'm glad you reported it to the school too x Jane - Our Little Escapadeshttp://ourlittleescapades.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797136949052460166.post-26762491828389154622016-11-11T20:53:44.591+00:002016-11-11T20:53:44.591+00:00Oh my days! I wasn't allowed to walk to school by myself until year 6 - I think quite late in year 6 too but we did live a mile away from the school so I think that also makes a difference. Hope Ellie is ok now xxLouise (Little Hearts, Big Love)http://littleheartsbiglove.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797136949052460166.post-50822740385002009322016-11-10T04:48:26.177+00:002016-11-10T04:48:26.177+00:00Hi Kim, oh, that is not nice. It's never nice having to deal with people like those boys, even as an adult, and one day she will be old enough to look after herself. It is excellent the speed in which the school dealt with the issue.

xxDebbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14933494199087059715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797136949052460166.post-83874859233401196852016-11-09T13:52:51.913+00:002016-11-09T13:52:51.913+00:00Oh Kim, thank goodness you were with her. My 11 year old does not walk home from school, mainly because her siblings are in primary school just across the road and her Dad waits for her. She is getting bullied by boys in school though and so far the school have been really rubbish at sorting it despite having a really good policy, Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14922568143111623696noreply@blogger.com
