Did you know that today is National pizza day?
We love pizza in this house and most weeks and most Friday evenings it is our go to meal. Nine times out of ten it just comes out of the freezer but sometimes we will have a treat and get a takeaway or even make it ourselves.

Becky loves a Margherita. She isn't into fancy toppings unless it's a homemade pizza.
Ellie loves the Hot Dog Stuffed Crust New Yorker Pizza from Iceland. It is a smoked hot dog sausage stuffed crust pizza base topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, salami and fried onions.
I love the Chicago Town The Pizza Kitchen Roasted Chicken pizza. A classic thin crust pizza base topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, roast chicken breast, red onion, red and yellow peppers.

Stu will eat anything when it comes to pizza. I don't think I have seen him ever refuse or not eat a pizza. lol
According to a recent survey the top 8 Pizza Toppings in the UK are:

I am so glad to see Pineapple included. That is one of those love/hate things isn't it! Personally I love it on pizza, especially along with ham and mushrooms.
When we make pizza's at home we use the Tesco bases and always go way over the top with toppings. Salami, pepperoni, tomato paste, mushrooms, onions, pineapple and mozzarella cheese. They are so good!

Oh I love a plain cheese and tomato or chicken and sweetcorn. I wish we'd planned to have pizza for tea now x
ReplyDeleteI'm a meat feast with BBQ sauce kind of person. Love pizza but sadly too much pizza dough doesn't agree with me. Yours look amazing, looks like great fun for the girls
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on a thinner crust. I am also defiantly Team Pineapple, but only with ham. I recently came across a pineapple and chicken pizza, and it was not a success, in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteI love pizza, I actually had it tonight for my dinner. My favourite is a meat feast. We make our own with pitta bread or wraps and my daughter actually prefers them to store bought ones most of the time x

ReplyDeleteI love pineapple on my pizza but no one else in our house does so it's a real treat for me to have one. I love those artisan pizzas with spinach and ricotta cheese on too. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteSweet mustard and tomato sauce, lots of cheese and onions topped with pepperoni and the hotdog crust... the iceland new yorker is/was the stuff of legends...
