Homework, plants and Monkey! Week 16. #Project365

Hasn't the weather been lovely.....We haven't really had chance to make the most of it as on Thursday evening we had the Autism people here meeting Ellie....They are going through with the full assessment so in time we will know where we stand. All I want is the support for Ellie when she goes to the secondary school....She's happy in the little bubble that is primary school because there is only about 150 kids. It's going to be a big change going to the big school with thousands of children. It feels like we're heading in the right direction though....

Now for a photo every day....

103/365 - 14th April
I'd like to blame the kids for making a mess but it was all my doing....

104/365 - 15th April
Ellie was finishing the last of her homework from the Easter holidays....

105/365 - 16th April
My cute little plant pot from Primark....

106/365 - 17th April
Monkey had been for a bath in the washing machine. hehehe

107/365 - 18th April
I found more uneaten Easter eggs....lol

108/365 - 19th April
She drank pints of water on Thursday which is of course a good thing....

109/365 - 20th April
The dreaded red card from the postman....At least I know what is in the parcel, I think.

  1. Glad mine weren't the only ones doing homework before school! Why do they always leave it to the last minute, Neva found one of her Easter Eggs today, she had obviously hidden it well away from her little brothers. Good luck with the assessment, we are current;y transferring Tyrus to a specialist school, which he will attend until 16, so at least I won't have to worry about that tranisiton!

    1. Ahh! My girl had a lot of homework to do over Easter as well as school for 3 hours a day in the first week. The joy of the SATs. lol
That's great news for Tyrus. I hope it goes well x

  2. Hope Autism people help Ellie. Is there a smaller size secondary school for her? It is a difficult adjustment to a big school, as we found with Eddie when he joined a big primary school after 3 years in a small one. You've been good to keep the chocolate eggs stash in secret. I hate those red slips from Royal Mail, they never bother to leave anything with the neighbours.

    1. No. Both secondary schools where we live are about the same size. We checked. She goes up to the secondary school for some STEM lessons so it's not all new to her thankfully.

  4. Hope the assessment went well and Ellie gets the support she needs.
What were you doing to make that glittery mess? I hate those cards from the postman too! It's only a couple of miles to our delivery office, but there is absolutely no parking nearby, so I often cycle there. Then if I've underestimated the size of the parcel I've been to have to push my bike all the way home!

    1. It went so, so. We got them to take our concerns seriously but it left us feeling a bit rubbish. We're OK though.
We were doing glitter tattoos...I was the one who tipped it out. lol

  5. I hate the red cards too. It takes a least 20 minutes out of my day to drive, park, walk, wait and back again. That's going to be a big contrast between primary and secondary - I don't think H's will be quite that big a difference.

    1. Ours is about half an hours walk away. My fella and I don't drive and there is no buses so it's a nightmare and I usually choose them to redeliver. The parcel came today. Phew!

  6. some of our parcels are dropped locally, about 400 yds away, some go back to the sorting office in Cumnock, a 25 mile round trip in a car.
Hope the Autism support works for Ellie, nothing wrong with your own little bubble. Bob would never cope with secondary school, six small feeder schools go to the massive super schools, the biggest in South Ayrshire and 6th biggest in Scotland.
Poor monkey, my kids use to howl if I washed their soft toys

    1. Oh gosh! That is a long trip for a parcel...
We have about 8 schools feeding into the secondary. We're going to have to see how she gets on.
Ahh! I washed Monkey while she was at school. She does fret if she can see him in the washing machine x

  7. I wasn't aware Ellie was autistic, fab that you're getting the support set up before she starts high school. why or why are YOU getting glitter out? it's bad enough when the kids use it lol

    1. It hasn't been confirmed that Ellie is Autistic yet but it's looking that way....It will help with the transition to secondary school and that's all I want.
hahaha! The kids were using it in a review. Glitter tattoos. I was the one who spilt it and they were quite good not spilling it. lol x

  9. Glitter everywhere! I think it is banned in our house :) We still have one Easter egg each left over, not really sure why the kids aren't demanding them... #project365
