Our Weekly Meal Plan!! - #mealplanningmonday

Last week I had planned on not getting a shopping delivery at all....Tesco wasn't delivering because of the weather and there was no slots available until Wednesday but we were running low on fresh food like milk, bread, fruit and snacky things for the fridge. I gave in and got a shop from Iceland. My slot was between 10 & 12 and they rang just after 9am to say they were going to a different store to collect a few things to complete my order.....I was shocked I thought they would have just said they weren't available. I was very pleased with the service. They went to so much effort to complete my order. Well done them!

We had an unexpected parents evening on Thursday so we called in the chip shop on the way home and on Friday I over ordered for the freezer and there was a bag of sausages I just couldn't get in so I made the sticky sausages with the Homepride Sticky Caramelised Onion Bbq Sauce. It's a favourite of ours....The kids had the pizza on Saturday and Stu & I had Chinese fakeaway from Iceland.

Tuesday is going to be a strange day.....Ellie is in the school performance of Beauty & the Beast and she has to be at the big school at 6pm and we are not expected to get home until after 9pm so the kids will have to eat early. I don't think I will be able to so will have something when I get in.

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - Chicken fajitas....
Wednesday - Creamy chicken pasta....
Thursday - Fish fingers, chips and spaghetti hoops....
Friday - Pizza....
Sunday - Mince and dumplings....

What will you be eating this week?

  3. We had our shopping delivered late because of the weather. We had a take out on Sunday, which was a bit of a disaster. I'm hoping this week will be better. x

  9. Hi Kim, shoppin on line would be right up my street, I hate shopping. It's not something that happens here on the island though (a business venture maybe?). I admire how you are so organised. At the moment I am sat here wondering what on earth we are having for tea and I have to be out the door for work in a bit!

  10. Just took a look at the quiche recipe. Really clever how it has no pastry as it always takes me ages doing pastry as it tends to crumble or stick to the rolling pin

  11. What great service from Iceland. Always like the sound of the Homepride sauce you use for sausages (had to rewrite that - it didn't sound right!!) I'l keep an eye out for it.#MMBC
