New Year, New TV shows....

It's a new year so that means there is a whole heap of TV shows returning to our screens.

After Christmas it always seems a bit boring in January but not for me. There is quite a few TV shows which I am looking forward too most starting over the next week or so.

Celebrity Big Brother - 9.00pm on Ch5 - Tuesday 2nd January.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will feature an all-female cast when it launches today to mark 100 years since women won the right to vote. However, the series will still feature male housemates, who will be gradually introduced to the house over the series.

I love Big Brother and always look forward to the celebrity one....There's a few people rumoured to be going in but we'll have to wait until tonight to see for sure...

Hunted - 9.00pm on CH4 - Thursday 4th January.

The 3rd series again see's ordinary members of public going on the run while being tracked by professional investigators, hackers, profilers and ex-police officers. With limited financial resources those hunted must do whatever they can to maintain a low profile against hunters who use every trick in the book to find, track and catch them.

I love this show....I find myself cheering for the hunted and shouting at the TV when they decide to end the episode when the hunters have nearly caught someone.

The Voice UK - 8.00pm on ITV. Saturday 6th January.

The second of a three series deal will see The Voice UK back on ITV. Emma Willis presents and the judges Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and will.i.am are joined by newcomer Olly Murs!

I really like this show. I didn't warm to Gavin Rossdale as a judge last series so I am looking forward to seeing Olly Murs who has replaced him....

Dancing on Ice - 6.00pm on ITV - Sunday 7th January.

Presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby the classic skating competition Dancing On Ice is back!! The judges have already been confirmed with Torvill and Dean now on the panel, Jason Gardiner making a comeback and Ashley Banjo joining the show for the first time.

I can't wait! It may be awful but I do like to see the celebrities fall over....Monty Panesar the cricketer has already been replaced as he broke his ankle in training. Eek!

Kiri - 9.00pm on CH4 - Wednesday 10th January.

Kiri is the latest drama from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child writer Jack Thorne and starring Sarah Lancashire. The Happy Valley star plays Miriam, an experienced social worker who is caught up in a police investigation when a young girl named Kiri goes missing on a supervised visit.

I have seen this advertised but I don't know much about it apart from it looks good. I think it will be something that leaves me wanting more at the end of each episode.

What are you looking forward to watching in TV in January?
