Cartamundi Fundels. Review & Giveaway.

Recently we were sent a couple of games to have a play with from Cartamundi the the world’s market leader in playing cards and card games....They have recently launched Fundels which combines playful card games with subjects such as language, conceptual thinking and counting....

Ellie decided to have a look at the Drawing with Numbers Game first.

Inside the plastic carry case there is the picture cards, a pencil and a little notebook with the pictures started ready for you to complete.

The purpose of this game is to of course practice drawing but it teaches the child how to recognise, rotate, mirror and stretch numbers....There is 3 levels of difficulty which is represented by the stars on the cards...

Ellie got the hang of what she was doing straight away and didn't need much instruction from me....She had a great time and got really into it....Since writing this review she has gone back to this a few times and carried on drawing things and colouring them in....

Drawing with numbers is aimed at Key Stage 2 children so for the ages of 7 to 11. With Ellie being 9 she is at the perfect age....

When Becky my teenager got in from school we got the Multiplications deck of cards out....

There are several ways to play with the cards and you can play alone or with others. which makes it great value for money.

We started off by me simple putting the cards in front of my girls and the first one to shout the answer won the card.....I was tempted to tell Becky to give Ellie chance to answer but it turns out I didn't have too.....Ellie my 9 year old is better at her times tables than my 14 year old.

They both had fantastic fun with the cards....They didn't even realise they were learning. In my opinion these are the best type of games....My girls are more willing to learn if fun is involved.

I know these are going to get a lot of use....I will be getting them out so my teen can practice too....For someone who is doing really well at maths at school she is really bad at her 7, 8 & 9 times tables. Eek!

The premium games like Drawing with Numbers are priced at £9.99 and the smaller standard games at £3.99.....I think those are great prices especially for the multiplication cards....

These games are available from Tesco and WHSmith now and from John Lewis at the end of the month.....

I am giving one of you the chance to win the two games I have reviewed....
