It's been all about the dough. #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

Dough has dominated our week!! lol

I made some play dough on Tuesday and the girls, especially Ellie have played with it nearly none stop....On Tuesday she only stopped playing to eat then she was back at it....Who'd have thought something so simple could amuse them for so long....

They have had all the cutters, rolling pins and bowls we own out....At one point they were making birthday cakes and had some candles stuck in it....lol

I used a recipe from The Imagination Tree and it really is the best I've found....All I had to buy was a bag of flour, I had everything else in the cupboard....

They have been putting it in plastic tubs each night and it still felt fine to play with yesterday afternoon....So for the price of a bag of flour it really is a cheap way to keep the kids happy!

The only downside is that I think I am going to be finding bits of play dough everywhere for weeks....lol The girls can't seem to keep it on the table.

 In other news:

We had a couple of sick days this week.....Becky was poorly on Saturday then Ellie took over the sick bucket.....They both recovered quickly with whatever they had but as Ellie is an expert at projectile vomiting it kept me busy washing blankets, duvets and clothes....Yuck!

We finally saw Finding Dory! If you haven't seen it go and see it....It is brilliant!

Becky and I spent the beginning of the week watching the Twilight films....We watched the first one on Sunday night when it was on TV....I have always fancied watching the films but never got around to them.....Well after the first one we were sucked in....We watched them all by Tuesday evening. lol I get what all the hype was about and the Team Edward or Jacob....I'm more of a Jacob lover. Edward is just too moody! hehehe

I think I have had a delivery of some sort every day this week.....I now have all of Ellie's birthday presents and things hidden away....The parcels were coming and she was asking what they were....I told her surprises for her birthday and she is now beyond excited....I should have been more secretive. Lesson learned....hehehe

  1. That's been great value then, hope the clear-up isn't too bad! I quite enjoyed the twilight films, too. I was Edward after the first film, but then yes, definitely Team Jacob after that - I can't take moody either! Glad you enjoyed them and that the girls are better now x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

    1. Thank you! I traded in my Nectar points for free cinema tickets or else we wouldn't have been able to afford it.
