I am Grateful - #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

Such a different word from the last couple of weeks....Sick a fortnight ago and Flu last week. Last week was rough and Becky and I slept most of Friday...It turns out it was just what we needed....

The lovely Martyn at Inside Martyn's thoughts really boosted my mood when I was feeling at my worst on Friday.....He is doing a 40 day blogging challenge. Every day he stalks a blogger (his words not mine...hehehe) comments on posts and shares them. On Friday he chose me and had some very kind words to say about me....It was such a honor! Thank you!

By Saturday we had all started to feel better. I think the cake Ellie had made helped and Stu went out shopping and bought me some new PJ's just to make me feel better. It worked....I had an Indian takeaway as an early mothers day treat and then the Tots100 scores came out and I had gone up! I really didn't expect to....I went up 11 places after the re-jiggle they had it was only 10 but it still left me at 135!! I am very OK with that....I really don't get how I have managed to stay in the top 150 since October 2014 with six of those months in the top 100!

Mothers Day was lovely.....I was spoilt rotten and didn't have to lift a finger....It was a real lazy day. It was just what I needed. I felt very special....Ellie said as she went to bed that she didn't want the day to end because that would mean my special day was over....So sweet! It's nice to know my girls appreciate me....

By Monday I was feeling on top of the world....I had such a productive day....Catching up on everything I didn't do the week before....Housework and blogging things. Ellie and I even managed a trip to the park....It was such a strange day. We woke up with snow on the ground and by the afternoon it was like a spring day....Still cold but the sun was shining....

Tuesday was another productive day...We tried out some goodies from Baker Ross....We had a great time. The rest of the week has been fab too....Nothing out of the ordinary has happened but it has been lovely....

It's a bit dramatic but having the flu last week has made me really grateful for Stu, my girls, my health, sunny days, new pj's, being appreciated as a blogger, cake, friends and so much more...

  1. Aww glad you are feeling better it's horrible being ill isn't it! Sounds like you had a lovely mother's day, your girls are so sweet and loving. I didn't see sight nor sound of Olivia as we went to my mums and all the kids ended up playing outside in the snow at least it was quiet and no fighting! #WotW

  3. I'm glad you're feeling better now. It's weird. It's like there's been a bug going around everywhere. Lots of little T's friends were also off school (like she was) because she were ill. Friends have been ill, my mother-in-law was also feeling poorly. Everyone! Well except me (you can't count a bad knew as "ill" right? ;) and my husband. Hopefully the bug or whatever it is, will be gone soon, especially since the weather seems to be improving again :) xx

  7. What a lovely week you've had - glad that you were spoilt rotten on Mother's Day and I love Ellie's comment about not wanting the day to end because of it meaning that your special day was over - what a lovely thing for her to say. Hope you have a wonderful weekend too :-)

  10. Hi Kim, you sound very positive after what has been a low couple of weeks. The power of cake! It can lift spirits, cure illness and make the world seem a much better place to be.

It's nice to be appreciated, especially by your family.

    xx

  11. Oh Kim, after your weeks of cold and flu it was about time you all got better and things turned around for you. It sounds like you've had a fabulous week and how lovely to be "stalked" in a positive way heheh!! As for your rankings, that's just great and clearly very well deserved. I know numbers aren't the be all and end all, however when you do get great ratings you do feel that everything you're doing on your blog is worthwhile. Well done xx
    Have a great week
