Heinz Baked Beans 50% Less Sugar - Review!!

Everyone in my house loves baked beans.....We can easily eat them 3 or 4 times a week. I'm quite partial to beans on toast for lunch.....I was given the chance to try out the Reduced Sugar and Less Salt Heinz Beanz....

There is at least 50% less sugar and 25% less salt than standard Heinz Baked Beans.

No artificial sweeteners.
1 of your 5 a day.
Naturally high in protein.
Naturally high in fibre.
Naturally low in fat.
Sweetener from a natural source.

I halved a tin between the girls and they had some with there tea didn't even notice they were different beans to what they usually have....I asked them what they thought and they thought they were the same as normal...Just normal beans!

I tried the reduced sugar beans and to be honest I expected to taste the difference. I do love my sugar. I am the type of person who can't drink diet coke because there isn't enough sugar in it...lol....I actually didn't notice the difference between these and the one's full of sugar and salt....They looked the same and tasted the same as normal beans....

If I wasn't trying these out and someone had given me these I would have been none the wiser....

It is appealing to me to know that I can serve my girls something they love without needing to worry about the sugar and salt content...These are something I would buy in the future....

I was sent some tins of the Reduced Sugar and Less Salt Heinz Beanz free of charge in exchange for my honest review......All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. That's great that you can't taste the difference. I have to admit I can't stand baked beans but Phil and the boys love them x

  4. We're not big fans of baked beans (must be the only family in the country!!) these look interesting. I think it's good that Heinz are trying to make their products healthier :) #TriedTested
