Cinderella, a new park, snakes and the best McDonald's....

On Friday we had a brilliant family day out....We were up and out early.....Well early for the holidays....lol We got the bus and when we arrived at Cramlington which is a local town to us which we don't visit often enough....There used to be a rubbish bus service and it used to take over an hour to get there visiting every little village on the way.....Things have been changed and now it takes about 40 minutes which works out closer than Newcastle.....I know where I'll be shopping in future....

As soon as we got off the bus we saw a fantastic park....Much nicer than the one's where I live....There was lots of different things to play on.....We had time and it was a lovely day so they had half an hour running about, playing on the swings and having fun....I wished I could have taken more photos but there was just too many other children around....Even though there was a lot of children it didn't seem crowded....

Walking through Manor Walks the shopping center we noticed there was a little event on....They had a petting zoo! There was the usual rabbits and guinea pigs but a bit further around there was snakes, lizards and Tarantulas....Eek! They were all close enough to have a good luck and the girls were even brave enough to touch the snakes.....I stood well back! Ellie shouted over to me "come on, be like Bear Grylls & touch one"....No thanks love.

After a quick look around the shops we went to Mcdonalds for lunch....The best Mcdonald's ever according to my girls!! It had a soft play area....I didn't even know McDonalds had them....

Ellie wolfed her food down so quickly just so she could go and play....It really was a cool soft play area! We were also lucky enough to win 2 McFlurries on the Monopoly game they have on the packaging....Hooray!

By then it was just about midday so we had a slow walk to the cinema ready to watch Cinderella!.....

A few weeks ago I helped promote the Vue Cinema’s Family People’s Pundit competition and the tickets were booked on my behalf....We had a bit of a faff on getting the tickets and missed out on buying popcorn and treats which I was a bit miffed about....It was a mad rush to get to our seats but we got in there just after the trailers had started.....Just in time to see the Minons trailer which Becky and Ellie know word for word.....Then came the Frozen Fever mini film.....Ahh it was so cute and funny.....Olaf is awesome and gave us the biggest laughs! I can't wait to see Frozen 2!

Soon enough it was time for Cinderella.....Ahh! What a lovely film! We all know the story of Cinderella so there isn't anything much to I could say to spoil it but it is so much more than the fairytale we all know....Even my fella loved it!

It's sad, funny, romantic and just lovely!! I may have cried a couple of times and I'm sure Becky was feeling it too...

There were a lot of Ohh's and ahh's from my girls when the dress appeared...WOW!!....There were lots of laughs when the Fairy Godmother did her stuff and lots of Awws when it came to the end...

Ellie got a bit bored towards the end of the film but she did love it....It is very rare she sits through a full film.....Frozen is the only exception but then she gets up and dances....hehehe

Becky was mesmerized by it from beginning to end.....The only time she spoke was the part where Rob Brydon is in it....She forgot where she was and said "that's uncle Brynn from Gavin & Stacy" at the top of her voice Oops....lol I think it will be a film we will be buying on DVD...

It was a fantastic day....I think we will be going to the cinema more now that we know it's so easy to get to and we know the girls can sit through a whole film....Minions next they say....hehehe

  3. Sounds like a fab day! I can't believe your little girls touched the snake!! I am so scared of snakes and can't even look at one let alone touch one...Yikes! I really want to see Cinderella, but in a house full of boys...I'm the only one. So I guess I'll wait until it comes out on DVD! :-)
