A quick week....

My Word of the Week this week is....

This week seems to have gone so quickly.....I haven't been overly busy it just seems to have happened so fast....It's all been a bit of a blur....We haven't done much but have been keeping ourselves busy.....

The weekend happened far too quickily.....On Saturday we treated ourselves to a Domino's which was very quick in arriving and we quickly ate it....Probably they best Pizza I have ever eaten.....I am quite tempted to order another for tomorrow night....Easter eggs were bought and quickly eaten and Sunday was a blink and you missed it type day!....I had a lovely Mothers day. I had some lovely cards and presents and was spoilt rotten.....

On Tuesday we got around to trying out the Kano kit.....Wow! I am very impressed....Ellie quickly made it and then Becky took over and quickly got the hang of using it.....

On Wednesday Becky came in from school crying....Closely followed by a strange woman....She had tripped over the curb at the top of our street and cut her chin.....A lovely lady had went to her aid, checked she was ok, gave her some tissue and made sure she got home OK....It was so kind of her and said she wanted to make herself known in case I was worried about a stranger giving my girl a tissue and helping her up.....It's terrible the world we live in now that someone does a good deed but has to explain their selves just in case....

She was fine after a few cuddles and it was just a bad graze....She even managed a smile....I wrote her a note to excuse her from dancing yesterday because her leg was sore too....Bless her but she'll live...hehehe

It made me feel so bad that I wasn't there for Becky when she fell but I have to let her grow up and find her own way in the world which is so hard....She is growing up so quickly....

This whole year is going so quickly.....One more week at school then it is the Easter holidays which we have a lot of plans for.....I have a feeling next week won't go as quickly though....I have a feeling it will drag as next weekend we are going to Newcastle's Film & Comic Con....I am so excited!!

  1. Oh, the idea of letting my daughter walk to school on her own sends me into palpitations! Letting them go a little is hard isn't it, but it is the right thing to do for them. The film and comic con sounds brilliant :)

    1. It is so hard to let them go....She's 12 now and has to have some independence. I hate it though.

  2. Time does go quickly. It's lovely someone helped your daughter, but you are right about her feeling she had to explain herself just for helping...what is the world coming to? Hope you have a lovely weekend

I wish I knew who the woman was to say thank you properly.....I was more bothered about Becky at the time to get a good look at her.
      Thank you x

  4. I am pleased you liked your Dominos, one of our faves here! The Kano's look great, don't they? I'm giving one away on my blog, and it's a popular competition! How lovely of that lady, but yes, a sad thing she felt she had to explain herself, too. Time does fly! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

  6. Oh yum dominos I do love pizza, my husband isn't a fan so we don't get pizza nearly enough!
Sounds like a busy week, and lots like the Kano is lots of fun.
How lovely that the lady helped, it is sad that she felt the need to explain herself though.

  7. Time does seem to whiz by when you have children - terms seem to be getting shorter! Although it's been a blur of a week you still managed to pack a lot in!
I can't imagine a time when my children can walk home from school alone, then again the time will probably come along far too quickly!

  8. That's a bit of a tricky call isn't it? Warning our kids about strangers, but at the same time of course, it's also alright to recieve/or ask for help from others. Good to know though that it wasn't much of a cut and that she's alright :) #wotw.

    1. Yes! It is very difficult....There's a fine line between stranger danger and strangers trying to help.
      Thank you x

  15. How nice of the lady to help your daughter and yes, it is a shame she felt like she had to explain. My boys have another 2 weeks at school before breaking up for easter so I'm taking the time to enjoy it while I can! I hope you enjoy the Comic Con, sounds like you're a little excited! :)

  16. It amazes me how quickly the days go sometimes, let alone the weeks and years, I'm told it is as we age (I guess that is right). Oh what i wouldn't give to have one of those long hot summers I remember of the past, where days were filled with fluffy clouds and went on for so long.
