5 Star Drywipe + Cork Board - Review!! #shopletreviews

Our fridge was looking a bit of a mess....Lots of letters from school, certificates, hospital letters and who knows what else...So when I was offered the chance to review a 5 Star Drywipe + Cork Board from the online store Shoplet I jumped at the chance....

I was trying out a lightweight dual purpose board with a pine frame....Half drywipe board and half cork pinboard. The height 40.0 cm by 60.0 cm...The board is big enough but not too big that it takes over the whole wall/room and makes it look too office like....

When it arrived I opened it and it looked great....It was packaged well...The board was exactly what I expected...In fact it looked stronger and more sturdy then I expected.

I was keen to get it up but not being an expert at DIY I thought I would leave it to my fella to do when he got in from work....I didn't want to be putting holes in the wall....A disaster waiting to happen.....lol

My fella came in from work and got on with putting it up which took at the most 10 minutes....I thought there could of been a bit more to the instructions....Like telling you that you needed screws to fix to the wall which were not included....

As soon as it was up I got on with filling it up.....There were plenty of pins included which was great....Ideally it should of been attached to the wall at the bottom of the board too....When I pulled the pins out it did pull the board off the wall slightly but it's not a major problem....It just means I have to be more careful...

The pins pushed in easily and the pen wrote on the board perfectly!....It wiped clean easily enough with a damp cloth...

What I did notice was that there was nowhere to put the pen when it was not in use....It would of been nice to have a pen holder on the side....At the moment it is sat on the top but the chances are that the kids will end up knocking it down and then it will end up being lost....

I do like the fact that it half cork board and half drywipe board....That will come in really handy for writing shopping lists or leaving notes telling my fella to do the dishes or put the washing out when I'm not in....It saves using paper which is good for the environment....hehehe

I really like this product.....A very nice addition to our household.....

  5. These are really good to have especially if you really need to stick to a schedule and it's a great place to hand a calendar, but my sisters fiancé went through a period of buying them all the time (I know right, weird!) and we have literally like 10 in the house haha. x

  7. Great review. I don't really use this kind of thing, all my letters that come home from school sit on the island unit in the kitchen and any appointments go into my calendar on my phone. My phone is my lifeline and if I lost it that would be terrible!
However, I can see how this would be really useful and if I ever ditch my phone then I would get one of these.
