Household tips so brilliant that you wish you’d have thought of them first....

Are you searching for clever household tips? Whether you’re looking to keep the home more organised or you’re searching for unique cleaning tips, below you’ll find some of the most unique and brilliant tips that can make your life a lot easier.

Let’s face it; cleaning the home isn’t exactly something that most of us look forward to doing. In fact, it’s something that I used to put off for as long as I possibly could. Only the fear of someone dropping by unannounced used to make me take time out to clean and even then I didn’t always do an in-depth job.

These days however, I’ve discovered a few tips that can really make cleaning the home a lot easier.

Tip #1: Sensational homemade kitchen cleaner

Over time the tiles in your kitchen can start to lose their shine. Even if you mop the floor every single day, the tiles still somehow end up looking a lot duller than they used to. A great way to bring back that sparkle and make the floor look as good as new is to create your own cleaner.

Using baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice and water, your floor will soon be in the best condition it has ever been. I was amazed the first time I tried this solution. It’s best to use seven cups of water, 1/3 cup of lemon juice, ½ cup baking soda and ¼ cup of vinegar. You could even use this solution on your front doors to give them a unique shine.

Tip #2: Creative storage

One of the main problems you may have in life is storage. This is especially true if you have a young family as the amount of clutter you have in the home can really build up. That’s where creative storage solutions come in useful.

In your kid’s bedroom, why not use plastic rain guttering as book shelves? You’ll be surprised just how cool this can actually look. Your children will love it and it creates a really unique design.

Tip #3: Stop berries from going mouldy

Eating healthily can be a real challenge, but it can also drain your wallet. Fresh fruit and vegetables tend to go off very quickly, but this tip will help stop your berries going off. If your berries go off before you have a chance to eat them, mix one part of white vinegar with ten parts water. Wash the berries in this mixture and place them in the fridge. Any mould spores will have been killed off and they will last a lot longer.
