Smart pyjamas?!

Bath, a hot drink a snuggle and then pop your child in their pyjamas and scan them!

That's what you could be doing if you buy the new 'Smart PJs' which are covered in QR codes that you can then scan with your iphone, iPad or android device to to read bedtime stories to your child, sing lullabies or show pictures of animals to help your little one drift off to sleep. "Now your child will be excited to go to bed," says a promotional video for the product.

"We purposely created Smart PJ's with the scannable dot patterns all over them so that parents can help the child scan the stories on their backs where they can't reach," Smart PJs founder Juan Murdoch told told Tech Cocktail. "We also put words to all the stories and animal information on the screen so that parents can turn off the volume and help the child learn to read the stories and words themselves."

No!! Not for me....

I think these are a horrid idea!! What's wrong having some quality time with your child...Bedtime is one of my favorite parts of the day....I enjoy a cuddle from my girls and telling them a story....A good old fashioned book is the way to go!

It's one of the saddest things I've ever seen.....Whatever next a cuddle machine so you don't have to do that bit either....

These PJ's are aimed at these sets of parents....
Those too lazy to sit and read to their kids at bedtime OR those parents who see TV and modern technology more important that reading/writing skills OR those with too much money...

NO, no, no!! I think they are so wrong!!
